How to outsource your first role without creating more work
A simple checklist for choosing the first role, writing the handoff, and managing the first month.
Start with the work, not the person
List the tasks that repeat every week. The best first role usually comes from work that is easy to explain, easy to check, and safe to fix if something goes wrong.
Write a one-page role scorecard
Use one page to name the role goal, main tasks, tools, schedule, update rhythm, and what good work looks like. This page can guide the job post, interview, onboarding, and weekly review.
Use a 30-day ramp
Week one is for setup and small tasks. Week two is for reviewed work. Week three gives the person one owned lane. Week four checks what is ready to keep, fix, or expand.
