Marketing operations launch-prep record

Prepare a campaign launch packet before it reaches the launch owner.

Use one record to keep approved materials, destination checks, a held item, reviewer, safe evidence, launch owner, and recheck together. It prepares an owner review; it does not authorize a campaign launch.

This record does not approve targeting, audience, spend, bids, claims, consent, privacy, access, tracking, timing, publication, a live destination, or a campaign change. Authorized marketing, creative, legal, accessibility, privacy, and publishing owners control those decisions.

Four control fields

Keep the approved packet separate from the launch decision an owner still needs to make.

The brief, material references, held item, owner route, evidence, and stop point stay easy to inspect.

Control field

Approved campaign and packet reference

Record the approved brief, campaign or channel reference, intended placement, and safe location of the approved materials. Do not copy credentials, audience lists, customer data, exports, restricted screenshots, private files, or platform-access details into this record.

Control field

Approved material and destination references

Link the already approved asset or copy reference, landing-page destination, form path, and documented UTM check. A preparer can record what is present, missing, or held; they cannot change a destination, form, tracking, copy, or asset.

Control field

Held item and escalation route

Name any missing approval, inconsistent destination, unsupported claim, consent concern, access question, or unclear launch authority. Keep targeting, spend, bids, timing, publication, and campaign changes with the named authorized owner.

Control field

Reviewer, launch owner, and recheck

Name the reviewer and the authorized owner who can schedule, publish, pause, or change the campaign. Keep a safe evidence reference, written decision reference, stop condition, and business-set recheck together.

Fictional examples

A complete packet gives an owner something to review. It is not permission to launch.

These fictional records show preparation only. On smaller screens, scroll the table sideways to read every field.

Review steps

Prepare the packet. Stop before making a launch decision.

A preparer can collect approved references, check the documented paths, and flag a mismatch. The authorized owner decides what happens next.

  1. Open the approved brief and record the campaign reference, approved materials, destination, and safe evidence location. Hold the record if the brief, reviewer, launch owner, consent reference, or access boundary is missing or unclear.
  2. Confirm the documented asset, link, form, thank-you-page, and UTM check references. Record an observed pass, question, or hold without changing copy, creative, a destination, tracking, or a live campaign.
  3. Name the reviewer and the authorized launch owner. A preparer can collect permitted references and route a gap, but cannot choose an audience, set spend, schedule, publish, pause, or change a campaign.
  4. Keep only safe references in the record. Do not paste credentials, audience lists, customer data, exports, restricted screenshots, private files, or platform-access details.
  5. Stop and escalate when approval, claim support, destination or form check, consent, access, timing, publishing authority, or campaign status is unclear. Record the written owner decision and a business-set recheck after any owner action.
Stop and clarify

A prepared packet does not grant launch authority.

Use the written escalation route when the request reaches claims, consent, access, tracking, spend, timing, publication, a live destination, or an unclear campaign effect.

  • The preparer is asked to choose targeting, audience, spend, bids, timing, publication, a live campaign change, or a customer-facing promise.
  • The approved brief, material reference, destination, form or UTM check, reviewer, launch owner, consent reference, or access boundary is missing or conflicts with the request.
  • The record includes credentials, audience lists, customer data, exports, restricted screenshots, private files, or platform-access details.
  • A request involves claims, legal wording, privacy, consent, tracking changes, publication, a live destination, budget, or campaign status without a named authorized owner.
