Handoff preparation

Check the source and stop rule before one task changes hands.

Use six practical checks to see whether one task record names a current approved source, a bounded preparation step, a reviewer, safe evidence, limited access, and a pause route. The result prepares an owner review. It does not approve work.

This browser-only planning aid does not save or submit answers. Do not paste credentials, personal data, customer records, payment details, or confidential source contents. Authorized owners and approved systems retain approval, access, customer, money, legal, privacy, security, policy, contract, clinical, and regulatory decisions.

Six checks

Check the record before it changes hands.

Use one task record at a time. Your answers stay in this browser tab. This tool does not save or submit them.

1. One task and its boundary

Can you point to one approved task and state what stays outside it?

2. Current approved source

Is there one current approved document, view, folder, or record to use? Do not paste sensitive contents here.

3. Source owner and reviewer

Does an authorized owner confirm the source and does a named reviewer check the prepared work?

4. Permitted preparation and held action

Does the record say what may be prepared and what must stay on hold?

5. Evidence and access boundary

Does the record name the checkable output, its safe evidence location, and the least access needed?

6. Stop-and-ask route

Does the record name the blocker that pauses work, its authorized owner, and where that decision is recorded?

Do not paste passwords, API keys, personal data, customer records, payment details, health information, or confidential source contents. This planning check does not approve work, authorize access, confirm a source is correct, or make a customer, financial, legal, privacy, security, policy, contract, clinical, or regulatory decision.

Use the result

Prepare the record. Keep the decision with the owner.

A teammate can organize approved records, gather stated evidence, and route blockers. The authorized owner decides whether the source is current, whether work proceeds, what access is granted, and how exceptions are resolved.

  1. Answer the six checks using one task record and references to approved systems.
  2. Hold the task when the source, owner, evidence or access boundary, or stop route is missing.
  3. Use the result to prepare an owner-led review. Do not treat it as permission to assign, publish, or expand work.
