Customer onboarding handoff

Check the handoff before a customer onboarding task repeats.

Use six practical checks to see whether one record has a usable scope, source, access boundary, customer-message review, acceptance evidence, and stop rule. The result helps prepare an owner review. It does not approve a launch.

This browser-only planning aid does not save answers or collect customer data. It does not authorize access, set scope or go-live dates, approve customer promises, configuration, security, privacy, pricing, or final completion.

Six checks

Check the record before the task repeats.

Your answers stay in this browser tab. This tool does not save or submit them.

1. Approved onboarding scope

Can you point to the approved onboarding task and what stays outside it?

2. Current source and inputs

Is there a current approved record for the checklist, required inputs, and status?

3. Access owner and limits

Does the record name the least access needed, its approving owner, and blocked actions?

4. Customer update boundary

Is there an approved message or a named reviewer before any customer-facing update?

5. Acceptance evidence and reviewer

Does the record show what proves the setup step is complete and who checks it?

6. Stop-and-ask rule

Does the record name the held action and the owner for an exception or blocker?

This check is a planning aid. It does not approve a go-live, scope, access, configuration, timing, customer message, pricing, security, privacy, legal, billing, or completion decision. Authorized owners and approved systems control.

Use the result

Prepare the record. Keep the decision with the owner.

A support assistant can organize approved records, reminders, evidence, and blockers. The owner decides scope, customer commitments, access, timing, configuration, and whether the onboarding path can proceed.

  1. Answer the six checks using one approved onboarding record.
  2. Hold the task when scope, source, access, customer-update review, or escalation ownership is missing.
  3. Use the result to prepare an owner-led review; do not treat it as go-live approval.
