How the estimate works

Count manager work before you count seats.

The planner adds weekly review and meeting time for each new role, applies the buffer, then compares the total with the manager hours you entered. It rounds capacity use up and supported roles down.

  1. Enter the manager time that is already protected each week.
  2. Add the number of new roles that would start in the same 30-day window.
  3. Estimate weekly review, correction, meeting, and question time for each role.
  4. Add a buffer, check the result, and make the first role or task lane smaller when the plan is tight.
Protected manager time
Use hours that are truly open after current meetings, reports, and team support.
Review and corrections
Count time spent checking samples, explaining misses, and approving the finished work.
Meetings and questions
Count check-ins plus the time used to answer questions between meetings.
Escalation buffer
Add room for exceptions, rework, and manager help that the weekly plan did not predict.

Default: 5 protected manager hours, 1 role, 90 review minutes, 60 meeting minutes, and a 30% buffer each week.
